Preserve provenance

Import angle and intensity text or CSV data into a named run. Braggsight records the original file, byte count, import context, and SHA-256 fingerprint.

Audit the scan

Review malformed rows, duplicate angles, acquisition ordering, negative intensities, signal variation, and irregular step spacing before interpretation.

Calibrate visibly

Apply an explicit zero-shift offset, record the wavelength and instrument profile, and compare observed and instrument-corrected peak widths.

Export the evidence

Create a PDF report, untouched raw CSV, processed CSV, selected-peaks CSV, and JSON manifest with settings, QC findings, source hash, and method links.

Raw and processed evidence stay side by side

Smoothing begins at zero. Baseline estimation can be disabled. Calibrated angles do not overwrite raw angles, and excluded peaks remain part of the saved analysis record.

Responsible interpretation

Screening leads are not phase identification

Braggsight compares selected peak positions with a small, visible screening set. Confirm phases and size estimates with suitable standards, calibrated instrumentation, full-pattern refinement, and a validated structure database.

Your laboratory workspace stays on your device

Source scans, specimen details, settings, notes, and reports are handled locally. A file leaves only when you build an evidence bundle and choose a destination through Apple’s share sheet.
